Nerd Week Part II: Scarab's

Here is a rather quick project I've been working on for the past few weeks.  I've got two squads of Necron Warriors (one complete, the other still unassembled).  I grabbed all of the scarabs from both boxes, quickly painted them (my standard Necron beaten metal recipe with a lone green eye), grabbed a landspeeder I had laying around, sprayed it blue and then smashed it with a hammer.  Since scarabs are vehicle munchers now I felt like the little guys should be swarmed over some vehicle wreckage.  Ultramarine's seemed like a natural choice (the blue mixes well with my metal-blue 'Cron's and Ultramarine's are dumb).  I added some metal dry brush for scraps and some sand color dust and boom, 8 scarab swarms.  Can't wait to try these dudes out on Saturday.

I was hoping to airbrush all these dudes this week, however it has been too cold.  Maybe next spring.
