Whore test

Quick post here.  I've been playing the role of part time ebay douche lately.  Buying army lots, priming them, base coating them, and then selling them for a small profit.  I've also been on the hunt for models that I don't necessarily want to collect, but ones I really want to paint.  Recently I won some deathshroud terminators.  These dudes are horus heresey era terminators that act as the body guard to Mortariaon, the primarch of the death guard.  I've always dug the fluff and the models are really cool for these guys.  I got a unit of 5, I just tried a test out on 1 of the models and I'm pretty fucking happy with them.  When I'm done I may try and sell them on the ebay...like a whore does.

The Deathguard like unpainted ceramite white armor with slight green accents.  Since these are terminator ballers, they get a touch of faded brass

The deathguard also like to leave bullet holes, scraps, and dirt on their armor instead of medals and heraldry.  I did some dry brushing and weathering to achieve that here.

I used some of the GW texture paint and lots of weathering powder  from secret weapon miniatures in order to give the scythe a rusty look.  I was hoping people will look at it and say is that rust or blood, or both!

Those are really cool figs though... feels like a waste to sell them when you could start/do a pre-heresy Death Guard. A ton of cool FW marine figs out there you could get...

Don't tempt me! A nurgle marine/chaos daemon army is very appealing to me...but we will see how it goes. Having an army that could be marines, or could be chaos (which I could ally with my necrons) would be nice. I haven't even touched the other 4 guys yet, so I won't be selling them any time soon. Too many robots!

I tempt you because I am doing the same thing with my Emperor's Children. Having one set of figs that can be used for multiple armies is really where you get the bang for your buck.
