Crappy restaurant attached to the Copperleaf that only wanted to pay me $9/hour to be Sous Chef

During my battle with Atom, I caught a glimpse of his sweet honored Imperium statue.  He had created a nice patina effect on it that I thought would be great for my Necron vehicles.  I like the thought that these vehicles are almost more like statues, seldom moving over thousands or millions of years.  Thus they should look all old and shitty.

The process is simple, black undercoat, dry brush tin bitz, and a patina wash applied over it.  I got a Catacomb Command Barge with Overlord to test it out on.  Here are the results.

Pimp mobile, the patina doesn't really photograph well with a cellphone

A GW plastic box set that contains a model that can be used for something else!?

Check my pimp robes

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  I've begun going over my monolith and adding the patina to it.  The goal is to get the Monolith more green than bronze since its older.  It's going to take many, many coats but I think in the end it will be worth it.

Tomorrow I'm heading to Milwaukee to have a 40k day with Karl, there should be war to report on!
